HVD SCSI Extender
Expanding your HVD bus can be accomplished by connecting two RTLVD-HVDV2's in series. connect the HVD side of the first HVDV2 to the host, and the LVD side of the first to the LVD side of the second. Then plug the HVD side of the second HVDV2 board to the Target device, and you will be able to double the bus length.

SCSI Products

Rancho Technology features a wide variety of SCSI expander products,  we have been a prime source of customer SCSI expander boards for the computer storage industry sense 1983.

We provide all our customers with a five year warranty, therefore, Rancho's products are of the absolute highest quality. Xerox, an OEM customer of Rancho, states, "Xerox is committed to providing high-performance imaging at an affordable price. After testing a variety of products, the RT1000, from Rancho Technology, was the logical choice to support this commitment" says Chip Maloney Vice President of Marketing. Rancho's technical support is the best available. Jaco Electronics Corporation, a Rancho distributor, states, "I'd like to praise your technical support group for their assistance and sensitivity to our customer problems. It is no small measure, one of the reasons we are so pleased to be on board with Rancho Technology" says David Denson. Rancho has been an Iomega certified supplier for two years. This implies a dock-to-stock supplier. Becoming a certified supplier requires zero defects for a period of one year. Rancho is a Gold Member of ACAP - Adaptec's Compatibility Advantage Program.

The majority of Ranchos Products can be classified in to two main categories, Converters, and Extenders. Rancho SCSI converters transparently translate between two different types of SCSI signal, for example high voltage differential and low voltage differential, and allowing them to coexist on one SCSI bus. This type of solution is ideal for attaching legacy systems to more modern next generation SCSI systems. Extenders on the other hand, hold a similar but different role. The purpose of an extender is to lengthen or "extend" the SCSI bus, in other word its can double the maximum allowed cable length on its dedicated SCSI bus. For example if you had and LVD host controlling and LVD target the maximum distance you could have between the host and the target would be twelve meters ( forty feet ). When utilizing and expander you would be able to double that length to a full 24 meters (80feet). 12 meters on each side of the expander. This type of solution is ideal fit in any situation in which you need to move your targets further away from the host. For example a company which building structural layout is best suited when having the servers in one room and the storage devices located in another room down the hall.
