PowerLook
1120 with MagicScan Software
The Umax PowerLook 1120 features high optical
resolution (true 1200 dpi) scanning and enhanced
image processing capability. The 1120 is a revised
version of the highly successful PowerLook 1100,
the main difference being a capacity for higher
image density. The scanner achieves this by
using the CCD (Charged Coupled Device) to capture
image data twice during scanning, combining
image data to form the final scan. The resulting
scan benefits from reduced noise and improvements
in fine details, even in shadow areas. The 'High
Density' option in MagicScan activates this
feature. Robust construction, extensive software
options and a high 3.7Dmax rating round out
this scanner's extensive list of features.
Manufacturer: UMAX Technologies, Inc.
Part No.: IPDV-21214
PowerLook
1120 with MagicScan Software Product Features
3.7Dmax with 1200 dpi: Captures fine shadow
details and allows user to scan slides and enlarge
them to letter size.
3.7Dmax with 1200 dpi: Enlarge slide scans to
letter size without compromising fine details.
Fast Speed: Up to twice as fast as a comparable
SCSI model.
Hot-Pluggability: Connect or disconnect scanner
to a computer without restarting the system.
Mac Peer-To-Peer Communication with Multiple
Host Capability: Two Macintosh computers can
share this scanner! Simply each Mac into one
of the unit's dual Firewire (iEEE 1394) ports!
Bit Enhancement Technology: UMAX's leading edge
proprietary technology allows you to output
14 bits/channel.

PowerLook
1120 with RGB Software
UMAX PowerLook 1120 features high optical density
with system care. PowerLook 1120 is a revised
version of its successful PowerLook 1100 and
the main distinctive feature is the higher optical
density. The PowerLook 1120 is equipped with
a so-called multisampling function which reduces
image noise and increases the density range.
By choosing in MagicScan High Density or MultiSampling
in SilverFast, the CCD-array will recapture
image data at the same position saving the data
in a buffer before moving to the next position.
The saved image info is then combined to produce
a resulting image, which displays reduced noise
and improved fine details, even in the darkest
area. The PowerLook 1120 has a maximum optical
density of 3.7Dmax. The PowerLook 1120 offers
robust solid construction along with extensive
software options to meet the customer's need.
