technology, the IBM Ultrium Scalable Tape
Library provides an ideal solution for
cost-effectively handling a wide range of
backup, archive, and disaster recovery data
storage needs. The breakthrough reliability,
capacity and performance of LTO offers an
excellent alternative to DLT, 8mm, 4mm, or
1/4-inch tape drives for streaming data
applications such as backup.
The IBM 3583 connects to Fiber Channel server
adapters or the SAN through the SAN Data Gateway
Module or selected IBM Storage Area Network Data
Gateway products. The IBM 3583 also features
Ultra2/Wide SCSI LVD and Ultra/Wide SCSI HVD
drive interfaces, attaching to IBM (eServer
logo) pSeries(tm), IBM (eServer logo) iSeries(tm),
IBM (eServer logo) xSeries(tm), RS/6000(r),
RS/6000 SP, AS/400(r), and IBM Netfinity(r)
systems, and non-IBM servers, workstations, and
personal computers. Supports up to 6 drives and
18 cartridges slots and comes with One year IBM
On-site Repair (IOR). |
